Kitchen Conversions

Here's a quick list of conversions that are great to have on hand:

Dry Ingredients
Pinch = 1/8 tsp
1 Tablespoon  = 3 teaspoons
2 Tablespoons = 1/8 cup
4 Tablespoons = 1/4 cup
1/3 cup = 3 Tablespoons + 1 teaspoon
1/2 cup = 8 Tablespoons
1 cups = 16 Tablespoons

1 oz = 2 Tablespoons
8 oz = 1 cup
16 oz = 1 pound

When substituting dried herbs for fresh herbs, the ratio is 3 to 1.
1 Tablespoon of fresh herbs = 1 teaspoon of dried herbs

Liquid Ingredients
1 cup = 1/2 pint
2 cups = 1 pint
4 cups = 1 quart
4 quarts = 1 gallon
